What a lovely Ascension Day! On Thursday 9th May, a Kite Festival was held at St David’s Church, Llanddewi Skirrid in the evening sunshine. This was to demonstrate Jesus’ Ascension into heaven.
Both the Llantilio Pertholey Sunday school children and members of Squirrels from the 1st Gilwern Scout group worked hard to make their own kites, before letting them fly in the churchyard! Father Julian did well to receive his Participation badge!
