Thy Kingdom Come Week was celebrated again this year, with each church having copies of the Novena booklets, this year written by Archbishop of Canterbury Sarah Mulally. We were encouraged to pray for five people we knew that they would come to know Jesus.

On Thursday 14th May, the annual Ascension Kite Festival was held again at St Bridget’s Llansantffraed as children made and flew their own kites to symbolise Jesus’ ascending into heaven. Although there was a hail storm at one point, we all gathered inside for tea and biscuits as Father David and Father Julian explained the meaning of Ascension.
This was followed by a joint Ascension Day Service at St Teilo’s, Llantilio Pertholey. We were joined by Philip Norman’s Pop Up Choir and enjoyed refreshments afterward.
