This Spring proved to be a busy term for training at St Teilo’s! On Saturday 18th April, St Teilo’s Llantilio Pertholey held essential defibrillator training by Peter Cook, a former paramedic and St. John Ambulance Defibrillator Instructor. He gave Church Committee members instruction on how to use their newly acquired defibrillator, helping to save lives.
Safeguarding Training
More essential training was held at St Teilo’s on May 9th, this time led by Rebecca Jones, our Provincial Safeguarding trainer for Monmouth Diocese.
We were lucky to have her join us to complete our Module A and Module B Safeguarding training. We were joined by wardens, treasurers, trustees, children’s workers and more from across the MA. The group left feeling more confident in safeguarding procedures as well as how to handle Safeguarding disclosures. It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure the safety of children and vulnerable adults.
