Baptisms

Matthew 28:19 – Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Baptism is an opportunity to follow in Jesus’ footsteps and publicly declare our Christian faith.

Whilst young children cannot make this declaration themselves, their parents and godparents take this as an opportunity to do this for them and welcome them into the family of God.

The Church in Wales believes that children are a precious gift from God and Baptism is a way of welcoming children into the wider church family. Parents and godparents will be asked to raise their child in a loving, Christian way by helping them learn more about the faith.
If you are an adult who would like to be baptised into the family of the Church, do get in touch with the relevant vicar of your church to make preparations.
